The BearingPoint Law, Resources and Finance Sector is currently searching for a Financial Operations Sr. Analyst.

Performance Profile:
- Individual will directly support the process improvement efforts of a federal government agency's accounting operations focusing on proper fund control, procurement, record keeping, and audit review practices and standards.
- Individual must be able to research, develop, interpret and apply federal accounting guidance to the process improvement efforts. Additionally, individual must be able to assist in communicating and enforcing correct audit standards and best practices across the federal government agency.
- Individual will act as a liaison to multiple teams within the Finance organization as well as external offices.
- Individual will be directly involved with business process improvement for our clients. Areas of additional project focus may include assisting in financial statement reviews, conducting internal audit samples, strengthening internal controls, assisting with financial and property schedules, and assisting in the integration of financial and property management systems.
Position-specific Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years finance experience in the federal space, including analyzing and applying generally accepted accounting principles, knowledge of accounting operations, and support of financial reporting
- 2+ years experience using MS Excel
Position-specific Desired Skills:
- MS Access skills
- CPA or CGFM certifications a plus
- Training and knowledge in Appropriation Law a strong plus
- Experience with preparing property schedules a strong plus
- Experience creating Pivot tables, formulas, and utilizing V-look up functions in MS Excel a strong plus
